SUMMARY:6m AND DOWN Contest
DESCRIPTION:Sponsor: JARL\nModes: CW\, SSB\, FM (AM)\nBands: 6m\, 2m\, 70cm
 \, 23cm\, 13cm\, 3cm\nBand note: 50\, 144 and 430 MHz plus every amateur b
and at 1200 MHz and above -- JARL's categories run 1200\, 2400 and 5600 MH
z and 10.1 GHz and up. The 5600 MHz band has no token in this catalog's ba
nd vocabulary and is recorded only here.\nDuration: 18h\nExchange: On 50 M
Hz to 1200 MHz: RST\, the prefecture or region number\, and the power lett
er. On 2400 MHz and above: RST\, the city\, county or ward number\, and th
e power letter.\nEligibility: Entry limited to JA. K stations may be worke
d but cannot submit an entry.\nNote: Eighteen hours\, not a full day: it o
pens at 2100 and closes at 1500\, so the overnight VHF opening is the poin
t of it. Encoded as wall_clock in Asia/Tokyo because that is how JARL stat
es it -- 21時00分（JST） -- rather than converted to a fixed UTC time
by hand. Japan has not observed daylight saving since 1952\, so the two ar
e identical in practice and will stay so\; the record says what the sponso
r said and lets the engine do the arithmetic. log_deadline_days is absent.
JARL prints a dated deadline above the rules for the edition in hand -- A
LL JA 2026 is '提出締切日 2026年5月6日（水）必着' -- and the
numbered 規約 clauses that follow state the dates\, eligibility\, bands\
, categories and exchange but no submission span. All four of JARL's 2026
deadlines happen to fall exactly ten days after their contest ends\, which
is suggestive and is not a rule JARL wrote. The same reasoning already ke
 eps a deadline off JARL's All Asian records.\nRules: https://www.jarl.org/
