SUMMARY:SARL HF Phone Contest
DESCRIPTION:Sponsor: SARL\nModes: SSB\nBands: 80m\, 40m\, 20m\nBand note: 2
 0\, 40 and 80 m. SSB 14 125-14 350\, 7 063-7 100 and 7 130-7 200\, 3 603-3
  650 and 3 700-3 800 kHz\; CW 14 020-14 030\, 7 000-7 040\, 3 510-3 560 kH
 z. The segments 7 100-7 130 and 3 651-3 699 kHz are contest free.\nDuratio
n: 3h\nExchange: RS\, RSQ or RST report and a consecutive serial number st
arting at 001.\nLogs due: 2027-08-06\nNote: PREVIOUSLY UNVERIFIED\, AND TH
E FLAG WAS DOING ITS JOB. This record was carried with bands: [] and eligi
bility guessed as ZS-only 'Confirm'\, because sarl.org.za served an expire
d certificate. SARL has since moved to mysarl.org.za and the rules are now
readable: the recurrence and times the record already held were right\, t
he bands are 20/40/80 m\, and the eligibility guess was WRONG -- the scori
ng table's Area 9 is 'Stations in the rest of the world'. log_deadline_day
s is 5\, which is the right DAY and not the right hour: SARL states 'by 21
:59 UTC on Friday'\, and the contest ends at 17:00 UTC on the Sunday five
days before\, so the engine's derived log_due lands at 17:00 rather than 2
1:59. The day is exact in every year because both ends are tied to the sam
e Sunday. The five hours are recorded here rather than papered over.\nRule
