4 States QRP Group Second Sunday Sprint (SSS)

Monthly two-hour QRP sprint on the second Sunday evening US Central time. CW, SSB and digital all count; the CW/SSB power limits differ, so operators switching modes must change power.

Rules at 4sqrp.comThe rules are the sponsor's. This page holds the dates and the facts.

When it runs

Second Sunday of every month

  • 1900 → 2100 Sunday

Times are the sponsor's own clock in America/Chicago, so the UTC instant moves an hour across a daylight-saving boundary. The runnings below are the resolved instants.

Where this comes from

Checked against the sponsor
Yes. The rule on this page was read off 4 States QRP Group's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-11.
What the source says
4sqrp.com SSS rules (revised 02/2026), TIME/DATE: 'The SSS is held the second Sunday night of every month (local time). It runs for two (2) hours from 7 PM until 9 PM central time (CST or CDT, whichever is in effect at the time). If you use UTC, that time changes when we switch from CST to CDT (or vice versa).' Power: 'CW & Digital: 5 Watts or less; SSB: 10 Watts PEP or less.'
Recorded caveats
SPONSOR-ANCHORED LOCAL TIME. The anchor is the second SUNDAY and the sprint runs into Monday UTC. 4SQRP states the consequence itself: '7 PM until 9 PM central time (CST or CDT, whichever is in effect at the time). If you use UTC, that time changes when we switch from CST to CDT (or vice versa).' Resolved through America/Chicago, so it is 0100Z Monday in winter and 0000Z Monday in summer.

Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Add to Google CalendarSubscribe (iCal)This record as JSON

Add to Google Calendar puts the next running in as a single event. It is one event, not a subscription — come back for the one after it, or use the feed below.

Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=4sqrp-sss

Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
