Germany's own DX weekend: the rest of the world chases DL stations for their DOK, and 2000-plus logs a year make it one of Europe's busiest single-country contests.

'... lädt alle Funkamateure der Welt zur Teilnahme ... ein.' Scoring is one-sided: 'Stationen außerhalb Deutschlands dürfen nur QSOs mit deutschen Stationen werten. Deutsche Stationen können mit allen Stationen arbeiten.' -- stations outside Germany may only count QSOs with German stations; German stations may work everyone.

Where this comes from

Checked against the sponsor
Yes. The rule on this page was read off DARC's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-18.
What the source says
darc.de/der-club/referate/conteste/wag-contest/regeln/ (Regeln, Version ab 2025): 'Der Deutsche Amateur-Radio-Club (DARC) lädt alle Funkamateure der Welt zur Teilnahme am jährlichen Worked All Germany Contest (WAG) ein.' -- 'DARC invites all radio amateurs of the world to take part in the annual WAG.' Contest Periode: 'Oktober, drittes volles Wochenende, 1500 UTC Samstag bis 1459 UTC Sonntag. 2026: 17/18. Oktober' -- 'October, third full weekend, 1500 UTC Saturday to 1459 UTC Sunday.' 2026: 25.10.26, 23.59 ME(S)Z.' Verified 2026-08-18.
Recorded caveats
DARC's English-language pages call this 'this contest on the third weekend of October'; the Ausschreibung says 'drittes volles Wochenende', and the full-weekend reading is what is encoded. DARC's printed deadline is a German local-time instant -- 25.10.26, 23.59 ME(S)Z -- while the stored interval lands on the same date at the contest's own end time.

Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Add to Google CalendarSubscribe (iCal)This record as JSON

Add to Google Calendar puts the next running in as a single event. It is one event, not a subscription — come back for the one after it, or use the feed below.

Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=darc-wag

Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
