Where this comes from
- Checked against the sponsor
- Yes. The rule on this page was read off MRASZ's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-19.
- What the source says
ylom.mrasz.hu/yl-om-versenykiiras. 'Ideje: minden evben marcius 8-hoz legkozelebb eso hetvegen, 2026. marcius 08. vasarnap / URH 13.30-14.30 UTC / RH 14.30-16.00 UTC' (Held every year on the weekend nearest to 8 March; in 2026 Sunday 8 March, VHF 13:30-14:30 UTC and HF 14:30-16:00 UTC). Bands: 80 m SSB 3.600-3.720 MHz; 2 m SSB 144.150-144.390 and FM 145.250-145.575 MHz except 145.500. 'Kontrollszam: RS + az adoengedely kora ... + az operator keresztneve. Pl: 59 01 Kata' (RS + the age of the licence + the operator's first name). Points: 5 for a YL-OM or YL-YL QSO, 1 for OM-OM. 'Hatarido: a versenyt koveto 15. nap (hetfo)' (deadline: the 15th day after the contest, a Monday). 'Resztvevok: Hazai es magyarul beszelo kulfoldi radioamator' (participants: Hungarian and Hungarian-speaking foreign amateurs), and QSOs are conducted in Hungarian.
- Recorded caveats
- MRASZ ties the date to International Women's Day: the weekend nearest 8 March, run on the Sunday. Encoded as the Sunday nearest 8 March, which gives 8 March 2026 -- the date MRASZ prints -- because 8 March 2026 is itself a Sunday. Only that one year is independently confirmed, so the rule is recorded as MRASZ's wording rather than as a tested multi-year pattern. The two halves are contiguous (VHF then HF with no gap), so they are one span rather than two sessions; the band split is in bands_note because a record cannot state bands per session. FM is in submodes because it is not in the catalog's mode vocabulary.
Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Add to Google CalendarSubscribe (iCal)This record as JSON
Add to Google Calendar puts the next running in as a single event. It is one event, not a subscription — come back for the one after it, or use the feed below.
Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=mrasz-yl-om
Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
