- Who can enter
- Anyone, anywhere.
RSGB states only that 'UK&CD entrants must be RSGB members' and gives no clause for anyone else. Recorded as worldwide because nothing excludes outside entrants, with verified false because that is an absence of words. RSGB separately lists an 'International Low Power Contest', which may mean this one is domestic -- ask the contest committee.
Where this comes from
- Checked against the sponsor
- Yes. The rule on this page was read off RSGB Contest Committee's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-20.
- What the source says
rsgbcc.org/hf/rules/2026/rqrp.shtml: '1. Objective A contest for operators to experiment with QRP and low power levels, with a choice of fixed or portable operation.' '2. Date & Time 19 July 2026 0900-1200 & 1300-1600 UTC.' Frequencies: 'CW only. 3510 - 3580 kHz (recommended 3540 - 3560 kHz), 7000 - 7040 kHz (recommended 7020 - 7040 kHz), 14000 - 14060 kHz (recommended 14040 - 14060 kHz).' Exchange: 'RS(T) + Serial Number starting at 1 and incrementing by 1 + Transmitted power.' Entrants: '(b) UK&CD entrants must be RSGB members.' RSGB's own dates for four years: 16 Jul 2023, 21 Jul 2024, 20 Jul 2025 and 19 Jul 2026 -- the third Sunday of July each time.
- Recorded caveats
- TWO SESSIONS WITH AN HOUR'S BREAK FOR LUNCH, which is why this record uses the sessions array: 0900-1200 and 1300-1600. Encoding it as a single seven-hour block would put a contest on the calendar during an hour RSGB does not run one. The exchange includes your transmitted power, which is how a low-power contest scores itself. ELIGIBILITY IS THE ONE UNVERIFIED THING HERE. RSGB says 'UK&CD entrants must be RSGB members' and says nothing about anyone else, which reads as open but is an absence rather than a statement. RSGB also runs a separately-named 'International Low Power Contest' in its results archive, which suggests this one may be the domestic one. Worth one question. RSGB keeps a rules page per year, so its own dates check its own rule. Four years were read for this record -- 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 -- and the recurrence reproduces all of them. PART OF THIS IS NOW ANSWERED, 2026-08-23. The open question was whether the July contest encoded here is RSGB's domestic low-power event or the 'International Low Power Contest' that appears separately in their results archive. RSGB's own HF Championship page lists the eleven contests counting towards it, and the July entry is named 'International Low Power Contest' -- there is exactly one low-power contest in RSGB's season and it is this one. So the two names are the same contest. That does NOT by itself prove non-UK stations may enter, which is why the record stays verified: false: the championship's own entry clause is 'single operators who at the time of each contest are RSGB members and are operating in the UK&CD', and that is the CHAMPIONSHIP's restriction rather than the contest's. What has gone is the possibility that we encoded the wrong one of two contests.
Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Add to Google CalendarSubscribe (iCal)This record as JSON
Add to Google Calendar puts the next running in as a single event. It is one event, not a subscription — come back for the one after it, or use the feed below.
Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=rsgb-low-power
Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
