Where this comes from

Checked against the sponsor
Yes. The rule on this page was read off SARL's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-19.
What the source says
2026 SARL Contest Manual Version 1.1 (2025-12-15), mysarl.org.za, https://mysarl.org.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/2026-SARL-Contest-Manual-Version-1.1-2025-12-15.pdf, 'SARL Newbie QSO Party': '2.1. 11:00 to 16:00 UTC (13:00 CAT - 18:00 CAT) on the 1st Saturday of July - 4 July 2026 2.2. 11:00 to 16:00 UTC (13:00 CAT - 18:00 CAT) on the 3rd Saturday of November - 21 November 2026'. Frequency: '4.1. SSB only 4.2. 14 125 to 14 300 kHz from 11:00 to 13:00 UTC 4.3. 7 063 to 7 100 and 7 130 to 7 200 kHz from 13:00 to 16:00 UTC'. Exchange: '3.1. RS, Four character grid square eg JF95 and Phonetic License Age Exchange'. Every date is checked against SARL's own Date Ordered List of Contests in the same manual, which states UTC directly, and against SARL-Contests-2026-Calendar.ics.
Recorded caveats
The band changes partway through: 20 m for the first two hours, then 40 m for the last three. Both are recorded, because a band filter should find this contest either way; the split itself is in bands_note, which is where a time-varying detail belongs when the field is a flat list. log_format and log_deadline_days are absent: this pass read each contest's Aim, Dates, Frequencies and Exchange sections and did not read its Log Sheets section, so neither is recorded rather than assumed from SARL's other contests.

Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Take it with you

Add to Google CalendarSubscribe (iCal)This record as JSON

Add to Google Calendar puts the next running in as a single event. It is one event, not a subscription — come back for the one after it, or use the feed below.

Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=sarl-newbie-qso-party

Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
