Where this comes from

Checked against the sponsor
Yes. The rule on this page was read off SARL's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-19.
What the source says
2026 SARL Contest Manual Version 1.1 (2025-12-15), mysarl.org.za, https://mysarl.org.za/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/2026-SARL-Contest-Manual-Version-1.1-2025-12-15.pdf, 'SARL YL QSO Party': '14:00 to 15:00 UTC (1600 to 1700 CAT) on the first Saturday of March - 7 March 2026 - International Women's Day is on 8 March each year' and '14:00 to 15:00 UTC (1600 to 1700 CAT) on National Women's Day - Sunday 9 August 2026'. Aim: 'a fun activity to celebrate Women's Day between radio amateurs in South Africa. And to get as many YL's on the air as possible.' Exchange: '3.1. The exchange is a RS(T) report and YL or OM.' Every date is checked against SARL's own Date Ordered List of Contests in the same manual, which states UTC directly, and against SARL-Contests-2026-Calendar.ics.
Recorded caveats
The two legs anchor differently and that is the point: the March leg is the first Saturday nearest International Women's Day on 8 March, and the August leg is South Africa's National Women's Day, which is the FIXED DATE of 9 August. One record, two rule types, because both legs share the same hour. log_format and log_deadline_days are absent: this pass read each contest's Aim, Dates, Frequencies and Exchange sections and did not read its Log Sheets section, so neither is recorded rather than assumed from SARL's other contests.

Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Take it with you

Add to Google CalendarSubscribe (iCal)This record as JSON

Add to Google Calendar puts the next running in as a single event. It is one event, not a subscription — come back for the one after it, or use the feed below.

Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=sarl-yl-qso-party

Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
