A leg of the UBA ON Contest, a four-Sunday series run by the Mechelen section each autumn.

Rules at uba.beThe rules are the sponsor's. This page holds the dates and the facts.

When it runs

Dates set by the sponsor each year (no derivable rule)

  • 0600Z → 1000Z

Times are UTC, as the sponsor states them.

The sponsor announces these dates a year at a time and there is no rule to derive, so this calendar holds only the years they have published: 2026.

'The UBA Section MCL. Mechelen invites all radio amateurs to participate', and categories 'd Foreign stations' and 'e Foreign SWL' exist -- but 'For foreign stations, only QSOs with Belgian stations are valid. This also applies to ON stations participating from abroad.'

Where this comes from

Checked against the sponsor
Yes. The rule on this page was read off UBA's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-18.
What the source says
uba.be/en/hf/contest-rules/on-contest, 'ON Contest 2026': 'The UBA Section MCL. Mechelen invites all radio amateurs to participate in the 46th edition of the ON Contest.' 1. Contestperiods: '6 meter Phone/CW 27 September, 2026 from 07:00 UTC to 10:00 UTC deadline logs 2 October / 80/40 meters SSB 4 October, 2026 from 06:00 UTC to 10:00 UTC deadline logs 9 October / 80/40 meters CW 11 October, 2026 from 06:00 UTC to 10:00 UTC deadline logs 16 October / 2 meters Phone/CW 18 October, 2026 from 07:00 UTC to 10:00 UTC deadline logs 23 October'. 4. Contest call and exchange: 'Stations in Belgium: RS(T) + QSO-number from 001 + UBA Section (stations not member of the UBA will give XXX) ... Stations outside Belgium: RS(T) + QSO-number from 001'. Remarks: 'QRP: ... they didn't use more power than 5W in CW or 10W in SSB.' and 'For foreign stations, only QSOs with Belgian stations are valid. This also applies to ON stations participating from abroad.' 9. Deadline: 'The logs must be sent no later than 5 days after the contest.' UBA's own contest calendar repeats each leg's date and window.
Recorded caveats
MANUAL, DELIBERATELY: UBA gives four dated legs and no recurrence rule -- the page identifies the event only as 'the 46th edition'. The 2026 legs fall on consecutive Sundays from the last Sunday of September, but UBA states no ordinal, so none is asserted here. log_deadline_days is exact: UBA prints a deadline date beside each leg and all four are the leg's date plus five days.

Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Add to Google CalendarSubscribe (iCal)This record as JSON

Add to Google Calendar puts the next running in as a single event. It is one event, not a subscription — come back for the one after it, or use the feed below.

Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=uba-on-80-40-cw

Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
