'Participation is open to all radio amateurs world wide in possession of a valid licence and to all SWL's.' UBA adds a standing exclusion on this page: 'the UBA Governing Body has decided that the UBA will axe the measures taken by various IARU sister associations and regular sports organisations. This means that, until further notice, radio amateurs from the Russian Federation and Belarus will be excluded from participation.'
Where this comes from
- Checked against the sponsor
- Yes. The rule on this page was read off UBA's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-18.
- What the source says
uba.be/en/hf/contest-rules/uba-psk63-prefix-contest, 'UBA PSK63 Prefix Contest 2027', 1. Date: '9 january 2027, 12:00 UTC until 10 january 2027, 11:59 UTC. (every year the 2nd weekend of january)'. 2. Participants: 'Participation is open to all radio amateurs world wide in possession of a valid licence and to all SWL's.' 3. Mode and bands: 'BPSK63 only / 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80 meter, in the segments recommended by the IARU for this mode.' 4. Power: 'Maximum power output 50 W (5 W for QRP), in order not to cause interference or splatter to other participants.' 14. Logs: 'The logs must be sent no later than one week after the contest. The final submission deadline is January 17, 2027, 23:59 UTC.' UBA's own contest calendar independently gives the 2026 edition as 10/01/2026 12:00 to 11/01/2026 12:00; the second-weekend rule reproduces both years.
- Recorded caveats
- The stated deadline instant (17 January 2027 23:59 UTC) is the right date for the seven-day interval UBA states but 23:59 rather than the 11:59 that end-plus-7-days gives. The interval is the rule, so the interval is encoded. Nothing distinguishes 'the 2nd weekend of january' from 'the second full weekend' in either published year, so the full-weekend form is used and no claim is made that UBA meant one rather than the other.
Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Add to Google CalendarSubscribe (iCal)This record as JSON
Add to Google Calendar puts the next running in as a single event. It is one event, not a subscription — come back for the one after it, or use the feed below.
Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=uba-psk63-prefix
Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
