UBA Spring Contest, 2m

A four-hour leg of the UBA Spring Contest, a four-Sunday series run by the Diest section each March.

Rules at uba.beThe rules are the sponsor's. This page holds the dates and the facts.

When it runs

Dates set by the sponsor each year (no derivable rule)

  • 0700Z → 1100Z

Times are UTC, as the sponsor states them.

The sponsor announces these dates a year at a time and there is no rule to derive, so this calendar holds only the years they have published: 2026.

Next runnings

The sponsor sets this date each year rather than by a rule, and has published through 2026. Years they have not announced are absent rather than guessed.

Where this comes from

Checked against the sponsor
Yes. The rule on this page was read off UBA's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-18.
What the source says
uba.be/en/hf/contest-rules/spring-contest-dst, 'Spring Contest 2026': 'The UBA section of DST (Diest) invites all radio amateurs to take part in the 43th edition of the UBA SPRING-CONTEST.' 1. Contest dates / Contest parts: 'VHF-2m Phone/CW: 1 March 2026 (07.00 -11.00 hour UTC). HF-80m CW: 8 March 2026 (07.00 -11.00 hour UTC). VHF-6m Phone/CW: 15 March 2026 (07.00 -11.00 hour UTC). HF-80m Phone: 22 March 2026 (07.00 -11.00 hour UTC).' 6. Reports: 'ON Stations: Report = RS(T) + QSO serial number starting with 001 + UBA section or XXX for ON stations NOT member of the UBA. ... Foreign stations: Report = RS(T) + QSO serial number starting with 001.' 7. Foreign stations: 'Only contacts with ON stations are valid.' QRP: 'Maximum output power: CW = 5 Watts, Phone = 10 Watts.' 12. Logs: 'The logs must arrive at latest 2 weeks after each contest date'. UBA's own contest calendar repeats each leg's date and 07:00-11:00 window.
Recorded caveats
MANUAL, DELIBERATELY: UBA states four dated legs and no recurrence rule anywhere on the page. All four 2026 dates are Sundays a week apart, but UBA never says 'every Sunday in March' or names an ordinal, so no rule is asserted on its behalf and the record simply ends after 2026 rather than guessing. The page also notes 'The order of the various competitions has been changed compared to previous years', which is a reason not to extrapolate.

Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Take it with you

Subscribe (iCal)This record as JSON

Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=uba-spring-2m

Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
