WAB 144 MHz Phone Contest

Worked All Britain's two-metre SSB contest: four hours on a September Sunday, with the WAB square as the exchange.

Rules at wab.intermip.netThe rules are the sponsor's. This page holds the dates and the facts.

When it runs

Dates set by the sponsor each year (no derivable rule)

  • 1000Z → 1400Z

Times are UTC, as the sponsor states them.

The sponsor announces these dates a year at a time and there is no rule to derive, so this calendar holds only the years they have published: 2026.

Next runnings

The sponsor sets this date each year rather than by a rule, and has published through 2026. Years they have not announced are absent rather than guessed.

Where this comes from

Checked against the sponsor
Yes. The rule on this page was read off Worked All Britain Awards Group's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-10-15.
What the source says
wab.intermip.net 'Contest Dates - 2026' (page last updated 11 Aug 2026) and Contest Rules (effective 20 November 2025): Sunday 06 September 2026, 10:00-14:00 UTC; entries close 16 September 2026. All WAB contests are SSB only (rule A11.18). Logs 'within 10 days of the date of the contest'; 40 days outside Europe. Open to 'All licensed Amateurs and Short Wave Listeners'. Read 2026-10-15.
Recorded caveats
DATES ARE STATED PER EDITION; THE SPONSOR PUBLISHES NO RECURRENCE RULE. Only the dates the sponsor has actually published are encoded (2026-09-06); a year it has not announced yields nothing rather than a guess. If a stated rule turns up, this record upgrades from manual. WAB's rule A4: 'DATES and TIMES: As specified by annual publication in the W.A.B. Newsletter and on the W.A.B. Web Site.' The 144 MHz Low Power Phone contest is not encoded: its page still shows a 2025 date and no 2026 one.

Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Take it with you

Subscribe (iCal)This record as JSON

Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=wab-144mhz-phone

Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
