Where this comes from

Checked against the sponsor
Yes. The rule on this page was read off WIA's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-17.
What the source says
wia.org.au (Harry Angel Memorial Sprint rules), which states the rule three times: 'The "HA" has been held on or around the first Saturday in May each year', 'For the last 27 years it has been held on the first Saturday in May each year.', and 'For the last 27 years the HA has been held on the first Saturday in May.' Times: '10:00 UTC - 11:46 UTC' and 'The duration of the contest is 106 minutes one minute for each year of Harry's life.' Sections: 'There will be three sections, PHONE, CW, MIXED'. Frequencies as quoted in bands_note. Exchange: 'Callsign,RS(T) and serial number commencing at 001'. Logs: 'all log entries must be submitted within 14 days of the start of the event' via vklogchecker.com or harryangel@redclifferadioclub.org.au. log_deadline_days is omitted because WIA measures those 14 days from the START of the sprint, not the end, which is not what this field means.
Recorded caveats
106 minutes, one for each year of Harry Angel's life. WIA's page also prints 'This would make the next Saturday May 3rd May 2027' -- May 3 2027 is a Monday, and the first Saturday in May 2027 is May 1. This calendar follows the rule WIA states three times on the same page, not that sentence.

Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Add to Google CalendarSubscribe (iCal)This record as JSON

Add to Google Calendar puts the next running in as a single event. It is one event, not a subscription — come back for the one after it, or use the feed below.

Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=wia-harry-angel-sprint

Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
