Where this comes from
- Checked against the sponsor
- Yes. The rule on this page was read off WIA's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-17.
- What the source says
wia.org.au (Remembrance Day Contest rules): 'Weekend in August closest to the 15th, 0300 UTC Saturday to 0300 UTC Sunday.' Modes: 'Modes allowed are PHONE, CW and RTTY as per the era remembered.' Bands: the sentence quoted in bands_note, with SSB frequencies given as '1843-1875, 3535-3570 and 3600-3700, 7080-7300, 14112-14300, 21150-21450, 28300-29100KHz.' Logs: 'Submit Log WITHIN 14 DAYS by 0300z' via vklogchecker.com, or rdlogs@wia.org.au. The nearest-Saturday rule reproduces WIA's own published dates: August 15 2026 is itself a Saturday, and in 2023 the contest ran on August 12, the Saturday three days before Tuesday August 15.
- Recorded caveats
- QRP entrants are limited to 5 watts average (CW/RTTY) or PEP (SSB) at the transmitter output. The band list is this catalog's reading of WIA's prose: the six HF/MF bands come from WIA's own SSB frequency list, 23cm/13cm/3cm from 'On 23cm or higher bands two points per completed valid contact', and 6m/2m/70cm from 'VHF & above'. 1.25m and 33cm are omitted because they are not Australian allocations.
Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Add to Google CalendarSubscribe (iCal)This record as JSON
Add to Google Calendar puts the next running in as a single event. It is one event, not a subscription — come back for the one after it, or use the feed below.
Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=wia-remembrance-day
Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
