Where this comes from
- Checked against the sponsor
- Yes. The rule on this page was read off WIA's own published rules. Link last confirmed 2026-08-17.
- What the source says
wia.org.au (Trans-Tasman Low-Band Contest rules): 'The contest is held on the Saturday night of the third full weekend of July.' and 'Start Time is 08:00 UTC and finish time is 14:00 UTC'. Bands: 'Bands: 160M 80M 40M'. Modes: 'Modes: SSB, CW and Digital (Digital includes PSK or RTTY only)' with 'PSK and RTTY are the only allowed digital modes and are combined, not counted separately.' Categories: 'Single Operator - High Power', 'Single Operator - Low Power (100 watts)', 'Single Operator - QRP*' with '* QRP stations are limited to 5 Watts average (CW/RTTY/PSK) or PEP (SSB) at the transmitter output.' Logs: 'LOGS ARE DUE WITHIN 8 DAYS OF CONTEST COMPLETION.' via vklogchecker.com or ttlogs@wia.org.au. The third full weekend of July 2026 is July 18-19, so the contest runs the evening of July 18.
- Recorded caveats
- WIA runs one digital section covering PSK and RTTY, scored together. Both Digital and RTTY are recorded as modes because both are named in the rules, and a band-and-mode filter for either one should find this contest; PSK has no token in this catalog's vocabulary, so it sits in submodes.
Something wrong? How to report it — a link to the sponsor's own page is all it takes.

Add to Google CalendarSubscribe (iCal)This record as JSON
Add to Google Calendar puts the next running in as a single event. It is one event, not a subscription — come back for the one after it, or use the feed below.
Subscribe (iCal) carries this contest's runnings for the next twelve months as UTC instants and keeps them current. Apple Calendar, Outlook and Thunderbird take this address directly. Its identifiers are stable across deploys, so re-subscribing does not duplicate anything: https://contestclock.com/api/ics?id=wia-trans-tasman
Google has no working one-click subscribe. Paste that address into Settings → Add calendar → From URL. Google then polls it on its own schedule, often 8–24 hours, and that cannot be forced — so use Add to Google Calendar above if you want the next running in your calendar now.
