One-shot operations, not contests — so they carry no
recurrence rule and no exchange, and they are held separately from the
contest catalog. Every one is read from the team's own site;
the announcement lists that aggregate them are useful for learning an
operation exists and are not used as the source of its dates.

Where this comes from
solomon2026.com, the team's own site: 'October 9th - October 21st 2026', 'all HF bands + 6m, CW, SSB and FT8'. Led by Rolando 9A3MR with Zrinko DK8ZZ/YT3ZZ, Mladen 9A2NA, Frane 9A3CJY, Kristijan 9A4WY and Livio 9A7Y. Checked 2026-08-23.
Recorded caveats
BANDS UNRECORDED BECAUSE 'ALL HF BANDS' IS A PHRASE, NOT A LIST. It leaves the WARC bands open and this catalog does not turn a phrase into a band list -- the same treatment JARL's New Year Party and the ZS SOTA weekend get. Every band filter therefore excludes this record until someone reads a published band plan.
NG3K'S ANNOUNCEMENT LIST SAYS 7-21 OCTOBER; THE TEAM SAYS THE 9TH. The team's own site wins, as it must. Recorded here because the two disagree and a reader comparing them should know which this calendar followed.

Recorded caveats
BANDS UNRECORDED BECAUSE A SPAN IS NOT A LIST. The team wrote '80 m through 10 m', which leaves the WARC bands open, and this catalog does not turn a range into an enumeration. RI1FJZ and S9R each printed a comma-separated list and their records have one; that is the whole difference. Every band filter excludes this record until someone reads a published band plan.
s9r.viacom.ao, the team's own site: 'October 17 to 31, 2026'. Bands listed one by one: 6M, 10M, 12M, 15M, 17M, 20M, 30M, 40M, 60M, 80M and 160M, in CW, SSB, RTTY and FT8, with QO-100 also planned. Seven operators: D2ACE, D2IM, EC7R, CT1BOL, CT1BZG, CT3MD and CT2GFW. QSL details still to be announced by the team. Checked 2026-08-23.
Recorded caveats
ELEVEN BANDS ENUMERATED, SO ELEVEN BANDS RECORDED -- including 60 m, which is the one a reader would otherwise doubt. A comma-separated list is a list and is recorded as one, unlike the spans in H49A, XR0Z, C8K and 7P8GE.
QO-100 is planned as well and has no band token here, so it is in bands_note.

kh8a.mydx.de, the team's own site: 'October 30 - November 12, 2026', 'IOTA OC-045, Grid AH45OP'. A German DXpedition. The welcome page carries no band plan, no mode list and no QSL route -- it links pages for operating frequencies and QSL information that were not read. Checked 2026-08-23.

DATES AND ENTITY ONLY. The welcome page says when and where and nothing else, so bands and MODES are both unrecorded -- and an empty mode list is rarer than an empty band list, which is worth flagging: a reader filtering for CW or FT8 will not see this record at all.
Kept rather than held back, because a fourteen-day operation from American Samoa is worth knowing about before its band plan is. The team links an 'Operating frequencies' page that a later pass should read.

TWO WINDOWS, AND THE RECORD HOLDS THE OUTER ONE. The team gives arrival on 9 November and departure on the 20th, with 'full operation planned from November 12th till 18th' inside it. Both are their own words. The record spans 9-20 because that is when they are in the country and can be on the air, and the inner window is stated here so a reader planning one specific evening knows where the effort is concentrated. Recording only 12-18 would hide days they may well be working.
BANDS UNRECORDED BECAUSE A SPAN IS NOT A LIST. The team wrote '160-6m, 60m including!', which leaves the WARC bands open, and this catalog does not turn a range into an enumeration. RI1FJZ and S9R each printed a comma-separated list and their records have one; that is the whole difference. Every band filter excludes this record until someone reads a published band plan. That 60 m aside is exactly the detail that makes a span tempting to enumerate, and it is still a span.

BANDS AND MODES ARE NOT RECORDED YET. The team's front page states the dates and the entity but no band plan, and this catalog does not guess one -- an invented band list on a nineteen-day operation would be read as a schedule. The consequence is the usual one and the pages say it: every band filter excludes this record until someone reads the team's band plan.
The normal state of a DXpedition until a few weeks out: a month or a season is announced and the days follow. These are not drawn on the calendar — putting them on specific days would invent the one fact a reader came for. They move across the day the team publishes dates.

Where this comes from
ardxpeditions.com/dxpeditions/vp0sg, the team's own page. The permit is granted and the timing is a month, not dates: an August 2026 update states VP0SG 'is authorised to conduct its planned amateur radio operations at Husvik, South Georgia, in March 2027'. No start or end day has been published. Checked 2026-08-23.

MONTH PRECISION, WHICH IS WHY IT IS NOT ON THE CALENDAR. The team has announced March 2027 and nothing narrower. Drawing it across the whole of March would claim thirty-one days of operation nobody announced, and drawing it on a guessed fortnight would invent the one fact a reader came for. It is listed with the window as stated and moves onto the calendar the day the team publishes days. This is the normal state of a DXpedition until a few weeks out -- most are announced by month first. BANDS AND MODES ARE ALSO UNRECORDED, and for the same reason as the dates: the team has a permit and a month, and has not published a band plan. Empty means unread here exactly as it does in the contest catalog, so every band filter excludes this record.

MONTH PRECISION, AND VAGUER THAN MOST: 'approximately 10 days during October 2026' gives a month and a duration but no start. Ten days inside a thirty-one-day window has twenty-two possible starts, so it is listed and not plotted -- putting it on a guessed fortnight would invent the one fact a reader came for. It moves onto the calendar the day the team names days.
BANDS UNRECORDED: '160 to 10 meters' is a span rather than a list and leaves WARC open. RI1FJZ's team enumerated its nine bands and that record has them; this one did not.

Twelve operators. QSL via the United Radio QSL Management Bureau, Tim Beaumont managing. Checked 2026-08-23.
Recorded caveats
MONTH PRECISION: 'In February 2027' and nothing narrower, so it is listed and not plotted.
THE NAME AND THE ENTITY ARE NOT THE SAME THING HERE, deliberately. The team operates from and writes about SOMALILAND, which is what this record is called; DXCC counts that territory as SOMALIA, which is the entity field. Both are true, and a reader chasing the DXCC entity should not have to know the politics to find it.
Bands and modes unrecorded: 'four to five HF stations' is a count of radios, not a band plan.
Kept rather than deleted. A team's site usually goes dark or turns into a QRT notice within months of the operation, so this becomes the surviving statement of when the entity was last on the air.

THE BANDS ARE ENUMERATED HERE BECAUSE THE TEAM ENUMERATED THEM -- nine HF bands listed one by one, WARC included. That is a list rather than a phrase, so it is recorded as one, unlike H49A and XR0Z below whose teams wrote 'all HF bands' and '160 to 10 meters' and left the WARC question open.
The team also names 'VHF bands and satellites' including QO-100 without listing which, so that stays in bands_note. VHF is out of scope for sourcing new contests; it is not a reason to truncate what a team says about its own operation.
THE SECOND FRANZ JOSEF LAND OPERATION IN A MONTH, and a different one: RI1FJL was Heiss Island in August, this is Aleksandry Island in September, different teams and different callsigns. Same DXCC entity, same IOTA group.
This operation has finished. The record is kept because a team's site often goes dark or turns into a QRT notice within months, and this is then the surviving statement of when it ran.

APPROXIMATE, AND HERE IS THE ARITHMETIC. The team did not publish a start day or an end day -- they published a departure, a crossing and a duration. Departure 7 August plus the stated 6-7 days at sea puts them ashore on 13 or 14 August; 15 days of operating from there ends on 28 or 29 August. This record holds 13 to 29 August, which is the widest window the team's own numbers support, and it is marked approximate everywhere it appears rather than presented as a schedule.
IT IS ALSO WEATHER-DEPENDENT AND THE TEAM SAYS SO: 'Fingers crossed that the coastal strip will be free of ice.' A landing on Franz Josef Land is not a certainty even after the crossing.
BANDS ARE UNRECORDED. 'All HF bands' is the team's phrasing, and this catalog does not turn a phrase into a band list -- the same reason JARL's New Year Party and the ZS SOTA weekend carry none. Every band filter therefore excludes this record.
AN ANNOUNCEMENT LIST DISAGREES WITH THE ARITHMETIC, AND THAT IS RECORDED RATHER THAN RESOLVED. NG3K's ADXO shows this operation as 22-29 August. The team's own page supports 13-14 August ashore, and a separate report has them leaving Murmansk on 12 August rather than the 7th announced, which would push the landing later still. Three numbers, one of them from a source this project does not take dates from. The window here stays as the team's own figures bound it and this note says plainly that the start day is not settled; the end, 29 August, is the one point all three agree on.
This operation has finished. The record is kept because a team's site often goes dark or turns into a QRT notice within months, and this is then the surviving statement of when it ran.
